Network Issues

  1. Start by making sure that the issue is specific to your device: see if other devices can connect to the same network and can access the internet without issue
  2. If other devices cannot access the network either, try restarting your router by turning it off, unplugging it for 5 minutes, then plugging it back in and turning it on again

If the issue is specific to your device, Select your OS:

Windows

  1. Use the Network troubleshooter:
    1. Select Start  > Settings  > Network & Internet > Status.
    2. Under “Change your network” settings, select “Network troubleshooter”
  2. Make sure WiFi is on:
    1. Select Start  > Settings  > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi. 
    2. Select “Show available networks”. If a network you expect to see appears in the list, select it. 
    3. Then select Connect.
  3. Forget the network:
    1. Click the WiFi icon at the bottom right of the screen
    2. Click the network you are connected to
    3. Click "Forget"
    4. Click the network again and click "Connect"

MacOS

  1. Go to your WiFi settings on your Mac and turn it off
  2. Go to WiFi and select “Open Network Preferences” and run diagnostics
  3. Forget the network:
    1. Go to System Preferences > Network, then select Wi-Fi in the list on the left and then click Advanced.
    2. Select the network you wish to forget, press the (-) and agree to Remove
  4. Restart your Mac by clicking the Apple icon on the top left and selecting "Restart"

iPhone/iPad

  1. Go to your WiFi setting and turn it off and on again
  2. Forget the network and rejoin:
    1.  Go to Settings > WiFi, then select your Wi-Fi name
    2. Click the Information button on the right.
    3. Select  and agree to Remove
    4. Go Back to the main page on the WiFi Settings and add the network again 
  3. Reboot your phone

Android

  1. Restart your device
  2. If restarting doesn't work, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data:
    1. Open your Settings app "Wireless & networks" or "Connections". Depending on your device, these options may be different
    2. Turn Wi-Fi off and mobile data on, and check to see if there's a difference
    3. If not, turn mobile data off and Wi-Fi on and see if that works
